Jared Rowe is replacing David Krantz as YP CEO. Rowe is from Cox Enterprises and was President of Cox Automotive Media Solutions, which is the umbrella entity controlling Autotrader, Kelley Blue Book and Dealer.com.
Krantz will remain an advisor and board member according to YP press materials. Rowe will officially start in September.
YP is owned by Cerberus Operations & Advisory Company, LLC., part of Cerberus Capital Management. YP’s previous owner AT&T owns a minority stake in the company.
In June 2015, YP spun off its print business into a new company called “Print Media LLC” to enable YP to focus entirely on digital media solutions. However the two companies continue to work together and share sales assets.
YP has 60 million digital uniques monthly and more than $1 billion in digital revenue. It sells to both independent local businesses and enterprises. The company recently introduced a new location data offering for enterprises it calls “Audience Cartography.” It combines location history and search intent for audience identification and segmentation.
YP will be presenting one of its enterprise case studies on location and audience segmentation at LSA’s upcoming Place Conference in Chicago on September 21:
