YP Appoints Digital Media Visionary Jonathan Miller to Board of Directors

This week, YP announced that Jonathan Miller, one of the world’s most respected digital media executives, will become the company’s first announced Board member. As you’ll recall, YP, the combination of the former AT&T Advertising Solutions and AT&T interactive, was formed in May after AT&T sold a majority stake of its local search operations to Cerberus Capital Management.
As background, Miller most recently served as the Chief Digital Officer of News Corporation as well as Chairman and CEO of the company’s Digital Media Group. In those roles, Miller successfully transformed News Corporation’s digital strategy by integrating the company’s content onto emerging, third-party internet platforms. In addition to leading News Corporation’s overall online strategy, Miller also oversaw the company’s standalone digital businesses globally and represented the company on Hulu’s Board of Directors. Previously, Miller was the Chairman and CEO of AOL from 2002-2006.
Miller is no stranger to the local search community. From 2007-2009, he served on SuperMedia’s Board of Directors. Miller’s appointment with YP provides the company with his strong experience and expert advice as it further positions itself as one of the largest media businesses in the U.S., building on its nearly $1 billion in annual digital revenues today. Miller’s counsel will no doubt be beneficial as YP continues to grow its online and mobile businesses.
Congratulations to Jonathan on his new position!
