Last week LSA held its Annual General Meeting at the LSA19 conference. The organization re-elected board members and announced new officers.
Yelp Senior Vice President of Business & Corporate Development Chad Richard was elevated to LSA Board Chair; Kelly Thomas Nojaim of Microsoft became Vice-Chair and Sharon Sweeney of the Fairway Group was elected Secretary.
Adam Jones of Google was also elected to the board. Other board-member companies include Facebook, Yext, Vivial, DexYP, NinthDecimal, DAC, Hibu and Gannett/USAToday.
LSA President Bill Dinan said, “We are excited to have Chad take the reins as our Chairman. His unique understanding of the SMB community and the impact of partnerships will be pivotal as the association continues to evolve to meet the needs of its members.”
Richard has more than 20 years of experience in creating and marketing innovative digital products. Prior to Yelp, Richard was at Apple.
“I am excited about the future of LSA and its ability to help facilitate partnerships and research that help the association’s membership community grow their businesses. Ultimately our goal is to help millions of local SMBs focus on their core businesses,” said Richard.
LSA is focused on location-based media and marketing for SMBs and enterprises and the ecosystem of companies that serve this multi-trillion-dollar market.
