Submit to the Ad to Action Awards for Chance to Enjoy Lunch with Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak

Last month, we announced a call for entries for our new Ad to Action Awards, which challenges local advertising providers to share their most innovative and creative new products that drive consumer actions like calls, clicks and store visits.

In addition to industry exposure and praise, we shared that our award winners will receive a once in a lifetime opportunity to enjoy lunch with Silicon Valley icon and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who is participating as a featured speaker at our 2014 Local Search Association Conference, April 27-29, 2014 in Huntington Beach, Calif.

Now that we’re back from the holidays, it’s time to gather your company’s most promising local innovations and submit to our competition!

Here are the key things you need to know:

  • Entries will be judged on a variety of factors, with emphasis on innovation and the potential for the submitted local advertising solutions to drive consumer action. Whether it’s a new mobile ad tool that compels consumers to buy nearby products, or a vertical offering that changes how people purchase a local service, we expect entries to span a variety of media types and executions.
  • Our competition is open to all local advertising providers with new or recently introduced solutions that demonstrate potential for driving local business sales and providing memorable experiences for consumers at the end of their purchasing decision track.
  • Participants are invited to enter one or more awards submissions at no cost for one of eight categories via the awards website by February 28, 2014.

We are excited to have a diverse and notable list of experts, analysts, media and practitioners from across the local advertising industry to evaluate and select finalists and winners. Finalists will be announced in early April 2014, and the winners will be announced at our LSA conference later that month.

In addition to rubbing elbows with “The Woz” at lunch, winners will be assigned a dedicated LSA team to secure broad industry support in testing, partnering and promoting their products so they have the best shot of succeeding in the marketplace. Winners will also be highlighted in LSA’s communications with our members and other industry leaders and influencers, in ongoing outreach to business and tech reporters, and through our digital and social media channels.
