On Target Podcast: Sunir Shah, Co-Founder, The Small Business Web

The marketing technology landscape continues to expand, as documented by the infographic, which this year features over 5,000 companies (up 40% vs. 2016). Much of the technology and software being created has great potential for SMBs, but the SMB software as a service (SaaS) segment is only about 2.5% of the global software market.

In the latest episode of On Target, LSA’s Charles Laughlin spoke with Sunir Shah, co-founder of The Small Business Web, to talk about his organization’s role in bringing software companies together for the benefit of small business. The Small Business Web has over 200 member companies that are engaged in selling cloud-based software for small businesses.

According to Sunir, the SMB SaaS space is expanding fairly rapidly and receiving significant investment as well. Sunir offers a unique perspective of the SMB space as it relates to SaaS and talks about his organization’s objective “to make the Open Web the best place to build, find and sell software for small businesses.”
