LSA15: McDonald, Cummings Receive Lifetime Achievement Awards

The Local Search Association (LSA) recognized the exemplary careers of two trailblazers in the industry at its LSA15 Conference. Chris Cummings, CEO of Marquette Group and Peter McDonald, former CEO of Dex Media, Inc. both received Lifetime Achievement Awards for their leadership and many accomplishments during their service in the industry.
All of us at LSA could not be more proud of being able to work with both Peter and Chris, and we extend our warmest congratulations to them as recipients of the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Chris Cummings is the long-time CEO and equity co-owner of Marquette Group and sister company, USMotivation. He has over 35 years of experience in the industry. He led the effort to develop the Local Search Association, the largest U.S. trade organization of print, digital, mobile and social media for the local marketplace. He also led Marquette Group through its transformation to a digital agency offering effective, proven media solutions.
Under his guidance, the Company has garnered 12 Industry Excellence Awards; was named one of the Best Places to Work in Illinois in 2008 and 2010; and has been recognized with several ADDY awards and a shelf full of partnership awards. Prior to becoming Marquette Group’s CEO, Chris held the position of President of Berry Network at The Berry Company for eight years of his 17-year tenure.
Peter J. McDonald has over 40 years of experience in the yellow pages industry. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Dex Media, Inc. from April, 2013 to October 2014. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of SuperMedia Inc. from December 2010 to April 2013 and as Interim Chief Executive Officer at SuperMedia before that. Peter served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of R.H. Donnelley Inc. from October 2004 to September 2008.
Peter also served in many other senior executive positions at Dex, SBC Directory Operations, Donnelley Media, a division of R.H. Donnelley, Ameritech Publishing’s Yellow Pages business, the Yellow Pages Division of SBC Communications, Inc., DonTech Publishing, Donnelly Information Publishing, and National Telephone Directory Corporation.
He has also served on the boards of Dex Media, Inc., DCCI, SuperMedia Inc., and ModusLink Global Solutions, Inc. He served as the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Local Search Association for a number of years.
