Agendize: Case Studies Show Impact of CRM Tech Solutions (May 21, 2015)
LSA Insider: “Last week, Agendize gave us a look into the world of customer relationship management (CRM) technology and answered two main questions: 1. What tools currently exist?; and 2. What impact do they deliver? Broken up into two sections, lead generation and client relations, they started with some stats that explored consumer behavior. From there, the company shared a variety of stats from case studies with clients that integrated CRM tech.”

UpSnap Announces 2015 First Quarter Financial Results (May 20, 2015)

Display Is the New Search: ReachLocal Offers in-App Mobile Ads for Local Business (May 20, 2015)
LSA Insider: “Local marketing platform ReachLocal has extended its product line with what it’s calling ‘ReachDisplay InApp.’ As the name suggests these are in-app display ad units that programmatically tap into roughly 4,000 ‘premium’ publishers and more than 100,000 ‘long tail’ apps. The company has offered PC display advertising for some time. Right now it’s a pure real-time geofencing product; there’s no retargeting. However there’s a roadmap with expanded features and capabilities.”

Moz Uses Data Science to Surface Local Search Insights (May 20, 2015)

One month after partnering with a handful of programmatic ad-buying platforms, including DataXu, Run and The Trade Desk, Placed has added BrightRoll, Moasis, Mediabrix and others to its list of partners as well. The deals give Placed partners in the programmatic video space (BrightRoll), the location-based targeting space (Moasis, Ubimo) and with networks (Crisp Media, Mediabrix, Sito, UpSnap). These new partners now have access to Placed’s offerings.”

YP CTO Darren Clark to Discuss Smart Data at Internet Week (May 18, 2015)

SF Gate: “As head of Yahoo Small Business, Akhtar oversees all software services that Yahoo provides to more than a million small businesses around the country — things like e-mail hosting, online sales tools and Web domains. The $50 million division is just a fraction of the Sunnyvale tech giant’s business, but by the end of the year, Akhtar will help lead the transition of Yahoo Small Business into a separate company. This involves, among other things, hiring engineers, creating products and rebranding a division of Yahoo, which is struggling to turn its 20-year-old business into a mobile-focused company. To top it all off, his new company doesn’t even have a name, and he doesn’t yet have a title.”
