Google to Explain Approach to Mobile and Social at SoMoConf August 21-22 in Chicago

According to a comScore, Neustar/Localeze and 15 Miles study, Google Maps is the most used mobile app for local business searches.  Similarly, their social network Google+ is building steam with over 350 million users and growing.  Google is synonymous with search, but over the last few years they have been making some major investments in both social and mobile solutions that help any size business, including SMBs, with their digital marketing efforts.

During their session at Social + Mobile: Show Me the Money!, Google’s Kesh Patel and Christine Merritt will explore themes of simplification, integration and innovation that have made Google+ more than a simple social solution. They will explore how Google+ can, in some cases, be a company’s web-wide identity. In addition, they will cover how immersed mobile has become a core advertising solution and will discuss ways that Google AdWords’ new Enhanced Campaigns can improve advertising goals and increase ROI.

Kesh is the Head of Business Development for Google’s Channel Sales Program in North America. He has been with Google for over 10 years with an emphasis towards online advertising.  Specifically, he focuses on helping local businesses leverage Google’s SEM solutions such as pay-per click, mobile, display and video. Kesh helped spearhead the launch of Google’s Premier SMB Partner Program and prior to Google, he was a small business owner himself as a 7-Eleven franchisee.

Christine leads both new business development and several existing partnership businesses for Google’s Channel Sales team in North America. In this role, she focuses on identifying and recruiting new partners who will service the SMB/local advertiser space with Google’s advertising solutions. In addition she leads the teams who manage the relationships with Google’s strategic partners in the automotive, traditional media, franchise and emerging business space.
