Now Business Owners Can Manage GMB Listings from Search Results

Seeking to make Google My Business profile editing easier and more accessible to business owners, Google is rolling out the ability to do so from search results. Google tested this earlier this summer.
Here are the things business owners can do directly from search results:
- Add or correct business information
- Enhance the listing with additional content, including photos
- Post on Google
- Access analytics about the listing’s performance
- Know when users upload photos of the business
To access these capabilities, business owners need to be signed in to Google. They search for their business name and a menu will appear at the top of the page that then allows them to do any of the above.
It will be interesting to see whether and how much this increases engagement with GMB among small business owners. There’s still considerable ignorance about GMB and its features in the SMB world.
